Rural Security, never forget the advantages of a thorn hedge, we used to own an old quarry where we had worries about kids getting in and hurting themselves, they used to cut through the wire fencing to get in, eventually we resorted to installing two rows of stock fencing, between them we stacked brambles which we cut in another part of the quarry, we planted blackthorn amongst the brambles and then wove barbed wire across the top of the fencing. Time consuming - lots of scratches but we had some kind of hedge in a very short time, we have sold the quarry now but we still see the hedge everytime we drive buy and IT WAS CHEAP.
